Carbonisation with phosphorus recovery

The sludge is mineralised and phosphorus for the fertiliser industry is recovered from the ash.

Dried sludge passes through a twin-screw reactor. The gas released burns in a separate chamber, and the plant runs under negative pressure so nothing escapes.

What sets it apart

  • The phosphorus is not vitrified, unlike classic mono-incineration. So the ash needs no further processing and goes straight to the fertiliser industry.
  • The plant is modular and standardised, which shortens installation and allows later extension.
  • Well integrated into the treatment plant, it runs thermally self-sufficient — no additional fuel needed.
